Healthy chickens lay delicious eggs, and you get healthy chickens from quality chicken feed. Finding the right feed with the correct nutritional balance is important and the professionals at My Pet Naturally in Santa Monica are here to help you.

Chickens will consume anything from grain to insects, and even animal products depending on how tiny the pieces are. Additionally, they need a varied selection of nutrients in order to not only lay eggs but lay eggs that are nutritionally dense. 

Chick starter and grower feeds are loaded with calories, specifically from healthy protein - to assist your chicks grow, strengthening their immune systems, and enhancing their total health. Grower feed is important for healthy chickens.

Layer feed has a different nutritional make-up that includes more calcium to promote proper egg production in newly laying hens.

Flock raiser provides a balanced nutrition when you have a combined flock of chickens. It's easier to use and still provides terrific nutrition.

Crumble and pellets are frequently the primary presentation of flock raiser food, as it's easy for chicks and chickens alike to eat and absorb.

Shell grit has two functions - one, it assists the gizzard break down food effectively, and two, it includes extra calcium to your chicken's diet. Calcium is essential for appropriate nutrition regardless, but it's especially vital for egg-laying hens.

Cracked corn isn't a great feed - it's calorie-dense but not big on nutrition. Regardless, it's a nice treat for your chickens, it's rather inexpensive and in a pinch, it can be used to feed your chickens if you've got nothing else handy.

My Wife and I have been bringing our dogs to Pet Naturally for several years now including and most importantly since the time when Mike and Staff were introduced to us. I caught Mike by surprise yesterday while at the shop making a purchase and joked that I didn't receive my work schedule this week... Mike & Staff are such a dymanic team that I said "I wanted to join them"...Mike said "oh your serious"and went to the back and printed me out an application. The BEST shop now under new compassionate, professional, knowledgeable & competent ownership. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to groom, clip/dremel nails, express glands, clean ears, or recommend food / treats than this amazing team. The new owner is fabulous, knows his stuff, and is hilarious. My (2) MinPin Chihuahua seniors emerge happy and squeaky clean! They also have high quality, affordable HEMO CBD suspended in Omega Fish Oil and it has changed our dogs battle with gen anxiety & separation BEYOND expectation.
